Hi and welcome,

The Eastern Saints Water Polo Club has worked hard at ensuring our club is operating at its maximum potential and continuing to achieve positive growth and development. We would not be able to maintain this without the valued contribution of our players, families and communities. In order to improve our effectiveness, we need to ensure that we continue to progress towards positive goals and you are invited to influence its direction in a practical way.

We will be conducting a three hour planning workshop meeting, as per the details above, with a focus on the long term future.  We need your input and ideas into where we may head over the next three to five or more years.   It will also help us secure STARCLUB Accreditation – signifying that we are a ‘best practice’ club.

We have engaged Hans van Bavel, director, DELTA Training, who has been working with sporting organisations and clubs on behalf of the Office for Recreation and Sport and local government, to independently facilitate our strategic planning process morning. The process will enable you to express your views and give creative input on trends, issues, challenges, possibilities, positives and concerns we all may have about the club.  All these factors influence our club’s future direction and activities and we need to convert our thoughts to practical objectives with supporting strategies – and of course most importantly: actions.

The process is interactive, practical and fast paced.

The pillars upon which the planning activity will be based and we ask you to think about in terms of challenges and opportunities are:

• Club Growth
• Coaching and Development
• Partnership/Relationship Development
• Engagement with interested stakeholders

We will supply refreshments during the workshop and it is a great chance to get together, and have your say re your local Water Polo Club.
